Online Academy a Step Closer

This week, First National’s forthcoming Online Training Academy was put through its paces with a trial national broadcast to selected members and staff who assisted with testing. Launched at the network’s 2010 National Convention in Alice Springs a few weeks ago, the system will soon enable all First National members to access training events without anything more than the computer equipment already in their offices.

With just one click, a viewing window opens where First National members and their staff can watch and listen to trainers. Property Managers and real estate agents participating in training sessions can type questions in another window and receive responses from the the presenter accordingly.

National Strategy Manager Jason Verstak explained that the system will complement the network’s existing training arrangements, making it far easier for regional as well as metropolitan members to access training conveniently and, in some cases, at different times from scheduled events. For instance, some trainers have agreed to allow First National to re-broadcast their training events on member-demand, up to three months after the original training session.

‘The challenge for all national real estate networks is maintaining a high standard of professionalism and First National is committed to providing industry benchmark levels of service. Our nationwide training schedule already sees our members and staff offered professional training in metropolitan and regional venues throughout the country. The Online Training Academy takes this to the next level, making regular training participation even more accessible for the most remote locations in our wide network of offices’ said Mr Verstak.

The system performed to expectation, streaming the trial broadcast to the furthest reaches from the network’s head office in Melbourne. First National expects to go live with the Online Training Academy in July.
